Optimism & Pessimism
In today’s episode, we’re exploring the topics of optimism, pessimism, and realism. These are different attitudes towards life and the future and can have a massive impact on your happiness and mental health.
I go over the definitions and words, discuss some possible benefits of being pessimistic, and give many tips on how and why you can be more optimistic in life.
A really fun episode filled with English vocabulary, and hopefully quite motivational too.

Benefits of Pessimism
Many people focus only on the benefits of optimism, often overlooking the potential advantages of pessimism. While this perspective may be contested, I assert that pessimism pushes an individual to work harder and strive for improvement. Those who notice the negative aspects of their work often makes changes so that it may be presentable. When a student is told categorically that their work falls short of the required standard, they tend to put effort into it in order to reach their destination. Some people find motivation following repeated failures, which may contribute to a pessimistic outlook. Last but not least, pessimism can be valuable if it drives someone towards hard work, cultivate passion and pursue success.
