1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website at https://levelupenglish.school, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and acknowledge that you are responsible for compliance with any local laws.

If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials on this website are protected by copyright and trademark law.

2. Membership Plans

Level Up English offers three membership tiers, each designed to meet different learning needs. All memberships are recurring unless cancelled.

Level 1 Membership

Includes access to 10 study courses covering essential English topics.

£10/month or £100/year

Level 2 Membership

Includes access to all Level 1 courses plus live group classes twice a week.

£20/month or £200/year

Level 3 Membership

Includes everything in Level 1 and Level 2, plus:

  • Private coaching sessions
  • Pronunciation and writing feedback
  • Two bonus audio courses

£40/month or £400/year

3. Payments

3.1 Payment Processing

Payments are made automatically through Stripe or PayPal in accordance with their rules, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Failed Payments

If a payment fails (e.g., card is declined):

  • The account will automatically be removed after a few days
  • You will lose access to membership content
  • You can renew your membership once payment issues are resolved

3.3 Member Responsibilities

  • It is the member's responsibility to cancel their subscription if they no longer wish to continue
  • You will receive email notifications after a payment is made
  • You will be notified when your subscription renews
  • Keep your payment information up to date to avoid service interruptions

4. Group Classes (Level 2 & Level 3)

4.1 Included Classes

Live group classes are included in Level 2 and Level 3 Memberships at no extra cost. Classes typically run twice a week.

4.2 Optional Events

Additional classes, workshops, or events may be offered for a small registration fee. These are optional and not included in the standard membership.

4.3 Teacher Unavailability

If a teacher is unavailable:

  • We will attempt to provide a replacement teacher
  • If no replacement can be found, partial refunds will be offered

4.4 Partial Refunds

Partial refunds are calculated based on the number of classes missed.

Example: If a student pays £20 for 8 classes and 1 class is missed, the refund will be £20 ÷ 8 = £2.50.

In special circumstances where students cannot attend all classes, refund amounts may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis.

5. License & Usage

5.1 License Grant

Permission is granted to use the materials on the Level Up English website for personal, non-commercial viewing only. This is a license, not a transfer of title.

5.2 Restrictions

Under this license, you may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display
  • Attempt to copy or reverse-engineer any software contained on the website
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notations
  • Transfer materials to another person or mirror them on any other server
  • Record, copy, or redistribute any course content outside of the website

5.3 License Termination

This license terminates automatically if any restrictions are violated. Upon termination, all copies of materials must be destroyed in electronic or printed format.

6. Refunds & Memberships

6.1 First-Time Memberships

Refunds are available within 7 days of purchasing a membership for the first time ever.

  • Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment
  • This applies only to your very first membership purchase
  • Request must be made within 7 days of purchase

6.2 Forgetting to Cancel

If a payment for a new term is made by mistake:

  • You may request a refund within 3 days of the start of the new term
  • Refunds for previous terms cannot be issued
  • Contact us as soon as possible after the payment

6.3 Refund Fees

  • Refunds for mistaken payments may incur a small processing fee (usually 3-5% depending on the platform)
  • If Level Up English is responsible for the mistake payment, we cover 100% of the refund, including fees

💡 Tip: Set a calendar reminder before your renewal date to avoid accidental charges if you're considering cancellation.

7. Account Sharing

7.1 Individual Use Only

Memberships are for individual use only. Sharing your account with others is prohibited.

7.2 Consequences

Accounts found sharing access may be terminated immediately without refund.

7.3 Group Memberships

For group memberships (e.g., classroom settings, families, organizations), please contact us. Discounted rates may be available for multiple users.

8. Content Access and Changes

8.1 Access During Membership

Members can access courses and materials until the end of their billing period.

8.2 Access After Cancellation

  • After cancellation or the end of a term, access will be removed
  • You will not be able to access course materials once your membership expires
  • Download any notes or materials you wish to keep before your membership ends

8.3 Content Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, update, or remove content at any time
  • Add new courses or features to existing membership levels
  • Reorganize course structures

If major changes significantly reduce the value of the membership, refunds may be offered at our discretion.

8.4 Content Protection

Members may not:

  • Record, copy, or redistribute any content outside of the website
  • Share course materials with non-members
  • Use course content for commercial purposes

9. Cancelling Your Membership

9.1 How to Cancel

Members can cancel at any time:

  • Through their profile settings on the website
  • By contacting us directly through the contact form

9.2 Cancellation Timeline

  • Cancellation of payment will be immediate (no future charges)
  • Cancellation of account access will take effect at the end of the current term
  • You will retain access until your paid period expires

9.3 Non-Refundable Fees

Membership fees already paid are non-refundable unless stated in the refund policy (Section 6).
